Engineering Summer Course at Yale

Oxford Royale at Yale

Engineering Summer Course at Yale (Ages 13-15)

Explore Engineering & Technology

The ‘Explore Engineering & Technology’ course provides students with a comprehensive introduction to the exciting career opportunities in engineering and technology on campus at Yale University. The Engineering and Technology Summer School allows students to explore the fields of Civil, Mechanical, Biomedical and Aerospace engineering, as they survey emerging technical applications from self-driving vehicles to space travel.

Students gain a practical foundation in the science of engineering through fun design simulations that provide a grounding in mathematics and physics. They learn to think like an engineer and strengthen their critical thinking, collaboration, problem solving and creativity skills. They will then go on to apply these new skills in the ‘Mission to Mars Design Challenge’, where students will collaborate with peers to propose engineering and technology solutions that will support the establishment of a colony on Mars.

ORA is not just a summer program, it is a second family for students from all around the world. I honestly can't find the words to describe the amazing time I had those two weeks. The lifelong bonds that I formed with students from almost every country of the world, will accompany me as I grow up. Moreover, the staff and counselors were there to guide me throughout this beautiful journey, as I knew that I could count on them for whatever I needed. The lessons were excellent and easy to understand, as the teachers thoroughly explaind everything being taught, while simultaneously making every lesson enjoyable and fun. To sum up, ORA is a place for everyone to evolve and gain independence in a safe and protected environment. ORA is a family.
