Here comes the sun…

It’s a sunny day at Oxford Royale Summer Schools, and a searing 26 degrees!

As far as sunshine is concerned, we’ll take it while we can get it.

That may not sound very hot compared to some parts of the world, but given the the UK experiences approximately 7.5 months of winter a year, it feels like basking on a tropical beach to us. We are breaking out the electric fans, planning a barbecue, and hoping the weather will last all summer, when our much-anticipated Summer School students are with us.
But we are aware than in other parts of the world, climate change affects communities more than it does in the UK. Forest fires, droughts and flooding all have a major impact on human life and nature, and there is still more that can be done about it.

Climate change is a unifying factor for all of us.

The global economy is underpinned by laws which restrict what big businesses can and can’t do; yet some of the worst polluting businesses in the world still somehow manage to carry on making money hand over fist at the expense of the environment. Now isn’t that something you would like to change?
Our Introduction to Law course for 13-15 year old students, and our Law School Preparation Course for 16-18 year old students can help you do just that. The younger students will be assessing and evaluation the role of law in society, whilst focusing on the ethical approaches that govern how law operates. The older ones amongst you will study the same precepts, but with a focus on the different types of law, developing their public speaking skills, making applications to law schools, and preparing for interviews.

Spend your summer learning about the law through role play!

If you want to change the world, now is the time to start planning your strategy. Find out if a career is law is for you, and spend your summer making new friends from all over the world in one of the most vibrant university cities in the world.
There are still spaces on the following law courses, so book now before everything is full. As we can see by the weather, summer is only just around the corner!
