Forensic science is an exciting and ever-changing field of study, one that focuses on the practical application of scientific theory across a wide range of disciplines, as has been brought into the public eye through numerous television series. This course will provide you with an introduction to the field and its key techniques, uses, and history.
Students taking this course will see that the reality of forensic science, and its role in criminal investigations, is very different to how it is presented in TV dramas such as CSI. This course will provide you with an overview of forensic science, covering the history of the practice, its relationship with the British legal system, its numerous disciplines, and the work typically encountered by a forensic scientist.
|Course Pre-requisites||Advanced level of English|
An interest and enthusiasm for science and criminal investigations This course would suit students studying towards A-level Biology/Chemistry or equivalent, and in particular those interested in further university study of Forensic Science.
