Summer School for Adults in Oxford

ORA’s summer school for 19-25 year olds is filling up fast for summer 2017.

19-25 year old students receive the best Oxford has to offer.

Taking place at Merton College, this highly-selective course welcomes school-leavers, under-grads and graduates alike to an immersive experience of learning in one of the best university cities in the world. And we are offering you a sneak peek into the exciting programme enjoyed by the older students this summer…
There are a range of disciplines to choose from, including;

With over 15 taught hours a week and plenty of individual research time, students will experience Oxford at it’s best – as a student. But it won’t be all dusty tomes and quill pens. There are plenty of hands-on learning experiences for our adult learners.

Be inspired by the entrepreneurs of London’s Silicone Roundabout.

Participants will be able to take part in a variety of experience days. Politics students will spend a day at the Said Business School, learning about the Psychology of Leadership. Our Web Development group will take a walking tour of the Silicone Roundabout in London, to be inspired by the entrepreneurial buzz. Budding lawyers amongst you will have the opportunity to explore the psychology of crime in a real forensic lab, whilst future doctors will receive accredited first aid training. Fancy yourself a finance guru? Then a day spent at the London Stock Exchange being put through your paces is for you! Need help finding the right job? Employability sessions with our experienced career counsellors will help you decide which direction you should take.
In addition to all the mental agility stuff, there will be a wide variety of evening activities. Wine and cheese tasting, fitness classes, theatre and movie nights, and even a mixology class are all available to finish your busy day on a high note. Add a gourmet dinner at Le Manoir aux’Quat Saisons into the mix, and you’re looking at what could be the most horizon-expanding summer of your life.

An evening of fine dining at Le Manoir will top the day off nicely.

But the piece de resistance in all this? A night spent at the Ashmolean Museum, in the company of the artistic works of Raphael, soaking up the solitude surrounded by artefacts from bygone civilisations. We suggest you don’t watch an scary films beforehand.
