Meet the Scholars: Tomisin

Over the next few weeks we will be introducing you to our successful scholarship applicants for summer 2017 – many congratulations to you all!

I consider this award an outstanding achievement for me, especially being one out of five selected from over two thousand applicants. To experience the ORA summer camp for the first time and on a scholarship is what dreams are made of. It was heart-warming for me that I could make my parents proud and relieve them of a huge cost they would have had to save up to make this happen for me.
I am also very grateful that I get the opportunity to learn Computer Science with professionals in the field which would give me a wider scope of knowledge on the subject. I hope to gain many skills and inspiration from the classes and the teachers. I hope to meet several young people from different countries who I would interact with and learn their cultures too. I hope to have gained a whole lot of social skills and experience from staying in the Oxford campus for two beautiful weeks.”
Tomisin is from Nigeria, and will be joining our Oxford Summer School for ages 13-15. For a full list of successful applicants for 2017, please click here. We would like to extend our thanks to all of you who applied!
