New Excursion Announced for 19-25s

Students attending our adult courses this summer can look forward to their very own ‘night at the museum’ – a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the works of Raphael up close.

Raphael was born in Umbria, Italy in 1483.

Oxford‘s Ashmolean Museum is no stranger to high-profile exhibits: in the past year alone it has hosted works by Degas, Picasso, Rembrandt, and Warhol, not to mention its world-renowned permanent collections of fine art from all over the world.
This summer, however, ORA students on our 19-25 courses will have the opportunity to enjoy their very own guided, after-hours tour of Raphael: The Drawings, an exhibition bringing together over a hundred of Raphael’s works from a variety of collections. A dedicated Gallery Lecturer will provide insight into the iconic Renaissance painter’s career, from his Umbrian beginnings to the height of his success.
After the tour, students will also have the opportunity to explore the remainder of the museum by night – beating the crowds and enjoying all the treasures that the Ashmolean has to offer.

Aged between 19 – 25 and keen to book onto an ORA Summer School Programme? You can browse our full list of courses here.
