Meet our 2016 Scholars – Part One

Over the next few weeks we’ll be introducing you to our 25 scholarship recipients for 2016, and their reactions when they found out they were coming to ORA this summer!

“I am extremely grateful that I have been chosen to receive this scholarship. I feel very fortunate to have been given the opportunity to take part in this scheme as I’m hoping that it will further inspire my interest in medicine and widen my knowledge before applying to medical schools. I believe this course will benefit me in terms of medical school experience as I am hoping that it will consolidate my decision that medicine is the right career path for me.”

“Out of the blue, one of my friends checked the ORA website and congratulated me on Facebook. It was then I realized that I had won a scholarship at ORA! This scholarship will not only enhance my knowledge but also give me a chance to expand my horizons and develop a stronger sense of civic responsibility, teamwork and leadership. A scholarship in the ‘Introduction to Computer Science’ programme would ultimately enable me to apply such skills and experience to my ongoing studies and make a positive contribution to my community.”
