“Our teaching staff are united by a desire to inspire students with a love of their subject”
Teaching is the backbone of each and every Oxford Royale Summer Schools summer programme. We are passionate about providing the highest possible quality of teaching that engages and challenges our students to push themselves academically. Our teachers are encouraged to use the latest techniques in interactive learning to ensure that our students actively contribute to class discussion. This helps to build confidence in both analytical skills and speaking in front of an audience. Our teachers use the fascinating international mix of students in their classes to stimulate debate allowing the students to learn from each other.
There is no typical Oxford Royale Summer Schools teacher. Our teaching staff come from a variety of different backgrounds but are united by a desire to inspire students with a love of their subject. Some of our teachers work for the University of Oxford or other leading universities, some are recent graduate students, and others are well-established local tutors. The scholarly atmosphere that characterises our summer programme is a product of the informal environment we encourage our teachers to create in their lessons. Our students feel relaxed and able to ask questions and to challenge and debate with their teachers.
Oxford Royale Summer Schools alumni consistently rate the teaching as one of the best aspects of their experience studying with ORA. We take student feedback extremely seriously and are committed to ensuring that our teaching standards are maintained at their extremely high level.
