The perfect head start for your child on the road to educational success. Our courses for ages 8 to 12 are designed to provide every student with an introduction to academic life in a top British public school – St Mary’s School, in Ascot. Students can make use of the facilities of the school, widely considered to be among the best public schools in the UK. Each course lasts for one week, although many students opt to combine courses and stay for multiple weeks. Our junior and middle school summer camps for younger students create a safe atmosphere where students can expand their academic horizons and express their creativity.
Junior English Programme

The ideal summer course for creative young students interested in learning the fundamentals of coding and programming. Students will learn to code in Scratch - to control robots, build games and more.Learn more
Learn to build games using Construct 2 at our junior summer school. This course covers the basics for beginners learning animations, movements, audio and special effects creation; along with other transferable skills.Learn more

St. Mary's School Ascot
A UK Summer Boarding School Experience
Students on our junior summer school live and study in the superb surroundings of St Mary’s Ascot, previously named Public School of the Year by Tatler magazine. The 55-acre site is used exclusively by our 8-12 age group for the duration of the junior summer school, ensuring full supervision and security within a leafy, spacious location. The school boasts a swimming pool, theatre, tennis courts, state of the art canteen and more, alongside comfortable accommodation and many advanced teaching spaces.
An International Junior Summer School Experience
At the Oxford Royale junior and middle school summer camp, we pride ourselves on our international mix, and students on all of our programmes are encouraged to learn about each other’s cultures and backgrounds – both in lessons and while partaking in our rich and varied extracurricular programme.
Those on our Junior English Programme enjoy shared excursions and activities with native and fluent English speakers, boosting their conversational ability.

From fascinating classroom projects to excursions around the UK, we ensure every child’s timetable is action-packed and full of fun.
Just like our programmes for older students, our junior and middle school summer camp seeks to foster a love of learning, paired with a sense of belonging to the ORA community; many students make friends on their ORA summer course and then return year on year to catch up and try out new subjects or locations.
A variety of inspiring junior summer school courses
Our Academic Discovery (ages 8-10) and Academic Discovery Plus (ages 11-12) programmes explore the Arts and Sciences through a different ‘key question’ every week. As well as our academic programmes we offer a junior ‘learn English’ course enabling students aged 8-12 to develop their language skills in a fully immersive environment.
The Junior Summer School English Programme is differentiated by ability and integrates perfectly with our extra-curricular activities, giving non-native speakers a real head start in the language, perfect if they wish to study in an English-speaking country in the future.
