All of our ISC tutors combine extremely strong academic ability with exceptional teaching skills. Our commitment to small classes provides students with a unique opportunity to debate and defend their ideas with these tutors, developing a wide range of personal skills in the process. This combination of academic tuition and skills development is at the heart of the Oxford Royale Academy ISC teaching philosophy and ethos.
In addition to students’ core contact hours which consist of small-group tuition learning about their specific subject, students may also benefit from weekly Academic Skills workshops and Current Affairs classes (depending on the chosen programme). The former is concerned with skills required at university level such as Research Methods, Academic Writing and presentation skills, whilst the latter allows students to discuss and debate with one another about topical worldly issues.
As a result, students receive a well-rounded and holistic education that spans further than just their subject of interest. Students leave the International Study Centre with a greater sense of what is required within further education, and enhanced skills to deliver at the highest level.
