Look Inside Oxford Royale Academy’s Summer Schools

Throughout Summer 2019 we collated some of the best moments, including activities, events and excursions, to showcase what our students get up to during ORA summer schools.

Unsurprisingly, there were many exciting times to capture across our prestigious campuses! These included regular ice-cream breaks, Afternoon Tea in Oxford, punting in Cambridge, culture-packed days in London, golfing in St Andrews and seeing the world-renowned sights in New York City.

Oxford – Bravery and Boldness: Addressing Climate Change at the Great Debate

“To begin the proceedings, students received an incredibly informative talk from the ex-director general of MI5, Baroness Manningham-Buller. It was truly inspiring to hear her insights into the importance of leadership, and how she feels that offering feedback in the workplace is the most effective way to develop professionally.”

Cambridge – Sweet Sunshine: A Celebration to Start the Second Week

“Following lessons, it was time for students to take a boat trip. The group crossed the river to pick up their punts to ride down the Cam in style. The light reflected off the face of the water as the group steered themselves down the Backs and it was an activity that the whole group loved taking part in.”

London – Enchanting: A Magical Day of Culture in London

“The students also enjoyed some of the capital’s bubble artists and intriguing sculptures. London is a city balanced between the historic and the cutting edge, and few cities in the world could mix street performers with classical architecture so beautifully.”
