A Very Happy Christmas From Oxford Royale Summer Schools!
It’s been an eventful year for ORA, and we’d like to thank all our students, staff, and clients from all over the world!
From a record-breaking number of attendees at our 2016 Summer School to a fresh cohort of talented young people pursuing their studies at our International Study Centre, we have certainly been lucky with the conscientiousness, brightness, and enthusiasm of our students this year.
2016 began with the awarding of 25 scholarships to deserving recipients from as far afield as Brazil, Pakistan, Vietnam, and Austria, as well as right here in the UK. ORA was welcomed as a full member of the British Educational Travel Association (BETA), having outshone the competition at its prestigious British Youth Travel Awards over the past six years. As well as renewed accreditation from the British Council and new status as a Duke of Edinburgh Award Approved Activity Provider, we were particularly honoured to receive the Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the highest accolade a British business can receive in the UK.
Students attending our Summer School programmes enjoyed a host of new excursions alongside their rigorous academic timetables, as well as high-profile events such as our inaugural Great ORA Debate with guest speaker Shami Chakrabarti. Nor did our students stop achieving after they left Oxford: our alumni success stories for 2016 speak for themselves!
We’ve already celebrated in style with our International Study Centre’s annual Christmas dinner at Yarnton Manor and, as 2016 draws to a close, we’re all looking forward to what 2017 will bring. Scholarship applications are flooding in, as are bookings for our London, Cambridge, and Oxford campuses. Whether you’re an established ORA alumnus or you’re keen to experience your first academic programme abroad, we’d love to welcome you to study with us in 2017!
