On our Experimental Psychology Summer School, students will explore the fascinating world of experimental psychology and the complexities of the human mind. By designing investigations, learning from experts, and examining the ethics of psychological research, ambitious learners will develop a solid understanding of the field.
Through case studies and research, students will study the brain, mind, and behaviour, with a strong focus on applying theory to real-world scenarios.
They will also examine human interaction, the psychology behind belief in fake news, and innovative approaches to mental health care, all grounded in scientific, evidence-based research.
For students who have already studied at our Medicine Summer School, this course offers an insight into a related but unique field of scientific research.

With Oxford Royale, no two days are the same - we will keep learning varied and include seminars, activities, self-tests, data analysis, case studies, demonstrations and research. These are all the kinds of learning activities you would do on an undergraduate psychology degree programme, aiming to prepare our students for a successful future.
Learn how psychological principles apply to real-world scenarios, including education, health, and everyday situations. This practical engagement fosters a deeper appreciation of psychology’s impact on society and encourages students to think about how they can use their skills in various professional fields.
Our students will complete a presentation on a chosen topic, and a written research report based on an experiment students will conduct themselves, allowing students to put their knowledge into practice.
Students will dive into key concepts such as experimental design, classic studies, and explore influential theorists, combining open-mindedness with critical evaluation of psychological material.
The course encourages creative thinking about psychological phenomena and promotes an understanding of how psychology applies to everyday life, education, and health. This approach empowers students to critically engage with complex topics and real-world issues.
