A class at our Business Summer School

Do you have an entrepreneurial mindset? Are you passionate about innovation, marketing, and leadership? Whether you dream of launching your own startup, managing a global brand, or shaping the future of business, our Business, Innovation & Entrepreneurship Summer School  is the perfect opportunity to develop your skills and take your ideas to the next level.

Here’s what a typical day looks like for a 16–18-year-old business student

Rise and Shine – 8:00 AM

You wake up in your historic Oxford college, ready for another exciting day of learning and discovery. Breakfast is served in the grand dining hall, where you chat with friends about today’s lessons and exchange business ideas over coffee and pastries.

Morning Lessons – 9:00 AM

Today’s first seminar is Marketing Research for Innovation. You explore how global brands gather consumer insights and make data-driven decisions to stay competitive. The session includes real-world case studies, and you participate in an interactive discussion on emerging market trends.

A short break gives you time to stretch your legs, grab a snack, and prepare for the next session.

Business Strategy & Problem-Solving – 11:00 AM

Now it’s time to think like a CEO! In this session on Strategic Management, you analyse how businesses navigate challenges and competition. Working in teams, you brainstorm solutions for a real-world business dilemma, learning the key principles of leadership and decision-making.

By the end of the session, you’ve honed your ability to think critically, adapt to challenges, and collaborate effectively—essential skills for any future entrepreneur.

Lunch Break – 1:00 PM

You and your classmates head off for a break. Some students grab lunch at a cozy café, while others take their food to the University Parks for a relaxing picnic. It’s a great time to unwind, network, and share insights from the morning’s lessons.

Afternoon Workshop – 2:00 PM

Back in class, it’s time for the Business Pitch Challenge. You work in groups to develop a startup idea, refine your business model, and create a compelling pitch. With guidance from your tutor, you craft a strategy that includes branding, financial planning, and competitive analysis.

At the end of the session, teams present their pitches, receiving feedback on how to improve their proposals. The competition is fierce, but the energy in the room is electric!

Time to Unwind – 4:00 PM

After an engaging afternoon, it’s time to unwind. Some students take part in sports challenges, while others join a guided cultural exploration, discovering notable landmarks and local history.

Dinner on Campus – 6:00 PM

Back at the college, dinner is served in the dining hall. You and your friends discuss your business ideas and reflect on the day’s highlights. Conversations range from marketing strategies to future ambitions, and you leave the table feeling motivated for what’s next.

Evening Activities – 8:00 PM

The night’s activities offer something for everyone. Some students attend a Public Speaking & Debate Society session, where they practice persuasive pitches and leadership communication. Others relax with a business documentary screening at the Campus Cinema, gaining insights into real-world entrepreneurship.

Later, you join the Oxford Royale Big Quiz, testing your knowledge of global business, innovation, and economic history. The competition is intense, but it’s all in good fun!

Lights Out – 10:30 PM

Curfew arrives, and it’s time to recharge for another day of learning, networking, and innovation. As you head to bed, you reflect on how much you’ve learned and the valuable connections you’ve made. Tomorrow brings new challenges, workshops, and opportunities to refine your entrepreneurial skills!
