The most convenient airports in relation to Oxford are the major London airports: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted or Luton. Heathrow is the closest airport to Oxford and is approximately one hour from Oxford by car.

Public transport between Oxford and major airports
London Heathrow and Gatwick airports are linked to Oxford by The Airline coach service, which operates a direct, frequent service twenty-four hours a day. This can be booked online at http://www.oxfordbus.co.uk/ or bought from the driver in cash. The cost of a return ticket is between 15 – 35 GBP.
London Stansted and London Luton airports are linked to Oxford by the National Express 737 coach service, running every two hours. Tickets can be booked online at http://www.nationalexpress.com/ or bought from the driver in cash. The cost of a return ticket is around 25 GBP from Stansted Airport and 17 GBP from Luton Airport.

A direct train runs between London Paddington Station and Oxford Station every 30 minutes and the journey duration is 55 minutes. Make sure you check train times online at http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/. Once you get to Oxford station, you can take a taxi to the International Study Centre, Yarnton Manor.
A direct train line also runs between London Marylebone Station and Oxford, stopping at Oxford Parkway Station. Oxford Parkway is 10 minutes by taxi from the International Study Centre.
There is a frequent, 24-hour direct coach service from London to Oxford. At busy times of day it runs every 10-20 minutes. Once you get to the coach station in Oxford, you can take a taxi to the International Study Centre (the journey is around 15-20 minutes).
An increasing number of Oxford Royale Summer Schools students travelling from Europe choose to take the Eurostar to St Pancras International. The quickest way to transfer from St Pancras International to Oxford is to take another train, departing from London Paddington Station, which can be reached by taxi, or by London Underground (the tube).
Students’ rooms will be available after 12 midday and students are welcome to arrive all day. Our staff will be on site all morning and afternoon helping with bags and registration. If you know that you are arriving early in the morning or late in the evening please let us know so that we can do our best to make sure that you are met when you arrive at the International Study Centre.
