First ever ORA Alumni magazine released!

On this day in 1953 Queen Elizabeth II took her coronation oath at Westminster Abbey in London.

In 2017, she marks 65 years on the throne, which is known as a Sapphire Jubilee, and makes Her Majesty the longest reigning monarch in British history. In 2015 she surpassed the reign of her own Great Great Grandmother Queen Victoria, who reigned for 63 years.

Alumni: the first issue is out now!

And this week, ORA made it’s own little piece of history, when we released our first ever ORA Alumni magazine! Well, it isn’t 65 years on the British throne, but we’re excited. After all, in 2082, our humble production may be having a Sapphire Jubilee celebration of it’s own. It could happen!

The magazine is released bi-annually, and has a bit of everything a previous student might want to know; ORA’s plans for 2017, what other past students are up to now, reminders of the antics that occurred on graduation night, articles about the course itself, and how it has helped their fellows achieve their goals.

Our favourite highlights this season include; a Wall of Kindness in Pakistan, the success of a Hijab emoticon designed by a former student, a detailed look at Carolina’s ISC experience and how it helped her get into medical school and photos from last years graduation parties (there were a lot of togas!). You can read the magazine here.

Not a toga in sight…but what are they up to now?

A digital copy of the ORA Alumni magazine has already been sent out to all our previous students. If you have attended ORA in the past and didn’t receieve a link to read the magazine, you can contact us at [email protected] and request your copy.

Look out for our Autumn Issue later on this year, and in the meantime, why not sign up for the Summer programme? There are still a few spaces left for 2017, but they are gradually filling up. Whether you are a new student, or a returning alumnus, we welcome you with open arms!
