Course Summary

The Introduction to Veterinary Science course is aimed at students with an interest in Veterinary Science. The programme offers a practical insight into studying Veterinary Science, and provides support to students thinking of taking steps towards a career as a vet.

The course features a blend of theoretical study of Veterinary Science and animal anatomy, along with practical workshops, which allow students to build a base level of relevant Veterinary Science knowledge. These enjoyable but informative workshops introduce students to the kind of tasks they might learn as future Veterinary students, as well as giving them a flavour of the jobs they might one day do if they pursue a career in Veterinary Medicine. Students also spend some time considering issues of ethics and animal welfare in veterinary practice.

This course is available for students aged 13-15. Older students may be interested in our Veterinary Science Programme for ages 16-18.
