With extensive and beautiful grounds, great facilities and splendid accommodation, Yarnton Manor will be an excellent place to spend the summer. The manor house is only 15 minutes away from Oxford and students will be able to make regular trips into the city with our minibus service – so they will get the experience of city and university life as well as the unique experience of living and studying in a magnificent and exclusive venue.
The history of Yarnton Manor is remarkable. Built in 1611 on foundations that can be traced back to Anglo-Saxon times, it served as a hospital for Royalist troops in the English Civil War. In the 20th century, it played host to the poet John Betjeman and the Booker prize-winning novelist Iris Murdoch.
We are greatly looking forward to welcoming students to this impressive location for the first time this summer.
