Our Summer Schools 2018 Have Started!
Yesterday, the sun was shining as the campus team welcomed students and parents from around the world to Yarnton Manor for the beginning of Session 1! These students are the first of our Summer School 2018 cohort and are about to embark on a unique summer experience at Yarnton Manor, Oxford Royale Academy’s very own historic 17th-century manor house, where students will live, dine and study for two or more weeks.
The Yarnton Manor campus team has been working hard to ensure a smooth and welcoming arrival for our students, leading into a rich and rewarding academic and cultural programme. Students can expect world-class teaching in their chosen subjects, as well as an exciting programme of social and cultural events to enjoy outside of the classroom.
The grounds have been expertly prepared by the Manor team and looked glorious in the British summer sunshine as students arrived. As always, students were then welcomed with a speech by our Programme Director, Christine Luscombe-Whyte, who delivered an inspiring talk to parents and students, describing what lies ahead for the summer and what to expect as an ORA Summer School student.
Over the course of the next two weeks – with all of the tuition and cultural activities they will bring – students can be sure that they will forge lasting friendships and connections with their classmates. Living and studying so closely with one another will be the ideal opportunity for students to make intellectual and personal bonds to carry with them into future studies and experiences. We hope all new arrivals are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.
