A Taste of the 2018 Excursions Available at Oxford Royale Summer Schools

This summer, students on one of Oxford Royale Academy’s summer programmes will live and study in one of the UK’s top educational institutions, whether a university or top boarding school. Indeed, going by the Times’ Good University Guide 2018, our summer courses will be taking place in all four of the top four institutions in the UK! Students will live, dine and study in these historic locations, enjoying tuition with our expert tutoring faculty.
But that’s not all our students will be up to…
Outside of class, students will enjoy a range of activities, including coach excursions to some fantastic locations. Here are just a few of the excursions lined up for summer 2018:

Warwick Castle
Students residential in St Peter’s College in Session 5
Warwick Castle.

This 12th-century fortress is 950 years old this summer. Students can watch the medieval sport of jousting, try their hand at archery, and even marvel at the birds of prey during the falconry display. And that is before they have even started to explore the castle dungeons…

Drayton Manor and Zoo
Students residential in Jowett Walk in Session 3
Girls with camels.

This fifteen-acre zoo is home to over 100 species of animals and a plethora of theme park rides and attractions. Students can spend their day learning about endangered species and what it is like to work in conservation, before hitting the rides for an adrenaline boost.

Woburn Abbey and Safari
Students residential in Clare College in Session 3
Girls pointing at something.

Continuing the wildlife theme, students can take part in a foot safari, visiting elephants, birds and sea lions, or stay on the coach for safety as they watch the lions prowling the savanna. They can even get in touch with their inner monkey on the aerial zip wires, and swing above under the tree-top canopy – safely harnessed, of course.
